Dynamic Tags

Summary

Dynamic tags works with or without Elementor Pro.

The following ACF fields have corresponding dynamic tags:

  • Text, Wysiwyg, textarea, checkboxes, select, true/false
  • Image
  • Video, oEmbed
  • URL
  • Date, datetime, time

There is support for both option pages fields, repeater fields and fields contained by a ACF group field.

Text controls

The following fields are listed when enabling dynamic tag on a Elementor text control in a widget.

  • ACF Text
  • ACF URL
  • ACF Time
  • ACF Date
  • ACF Date Time
The plugin adds a number of tags to choose from on text controls.
The dynamic tags drop down.

ACF Text

Clicking the field drop down will list detected ACF fields.
The ACF Text tag dropdown list all detected fields on the current page/post/CPT and option page.

ACF URL

Clicking the field drop down will list detected ACF fields.
The ACF Text tag dropdown list all detected fields on the current page/post/CPT and option page.

ACF Time

The field dropdown detects ACF time picker fields.
You can select to format the time data in numerous ways or enter a custom format.

ACF Date

The field dropdown detects ACF date picker fields.
You can select to format the date data in numerous ways or enter a custom format.

ACF Datetime

The field dropdown detects ACF datetime picker fields.
You can select to format the datetime data in numerous ways or enter a custom format.

The “Time since” setting formats the data in years, weeks, hours, minutes ago format. “50 years”, “3 hours” and so forth.

The following fields are listed when enabling dynamic tag on a Elementor URL control in a widget.

  • ACF Text
  • ACF URL

Image controls

The following fields are listed when enabling dynamic tag on a Elementor image control in a widget:

  • ACF Image
The image tag supports selecting both a ACF field and a fallback image.

Repeater fields

Repeater fields are also support but these requires using Elementor template page to be useful. See “ACF Repeater with template” widget instructions.

Display Conditions

With the release of Advanced Elements 1.4 a new feature called display conditions was introduced with the ACF Table widget. This feature also came with new dynamic tags such as support for the True False field and checkboxes and select fields.

Display Conditions on ACF Table makes you control if a cell or column should be display.
